Facility Design Perfected

A multibillion-dollar domestic wholesale and retail apparel company secured a Distribution Center (DC) in Nicaragua. The DC would serve as a “Cross Dock” operation, consolidating shipments from various sewing facilities throughout Central America and shipping custom containers to the US and Europe.

The Sunriise Business Solutions team worked with the client’s engineers and the engineers of the local general contractor to design a facility that could accommodate the next 5 years of forecasted volume for the client.

The design enabled the facility to be a “Just-In-Time” DC, with unique receiving areas, strategically placed racking, broadways to accommodate cross traffic, and a shipping area that allowed for organized staging.
